Mette Frederiksen is a Danish politician who has served as the Prime Minister of Denmark since 2019 and the leader of the Social Democrats since 2015. She is the second woman and youngest person to hold the office of Prime Minister in Danish history. While her primary role is in Danish politics, she has been mentioned in Icelandic media in the context of Nordic cooperation, particularly regarding discussions on Arctic security and Greenland, as well as her participation in the Nordic-Canada Summit alongside Iceland's Prime Minister.
