Afstaða is an Icelandic organization dedicated to advocating for the rights and rehabilitation of prisoners and former prisoners. Established in 2005, it works to improve prison conditions, promote education and reintegration into society, and reduce prejudice against inmates and their families. The organization provides legal advice, peer support, and collaborates with various stakeholders to influence policy and public discourse on correctional matters.
