ÍA, or Íþróttabandalag Akraness, is an Icelandic sports club founded in 1946 and based in Akranes, Iceland. It is one of the biggest sports associations in Iceland, encompassing 19 individual member clubs across various sports like basketball, football, golf, gymnastics, and swimming. The club's football team is particularly notable, being one of Iceland's most successful with 18 championships and 9 cup wins, and has participated in European competitions. Markús Páll Ellertsson is a new player for ÍA, joining the team during their training camp in Tenerife.
