Kennarasamband Íslands (KÍ), also known as the Icelandic Teachers' Union, is a professional organization and trade union for teachers in Iceland. Established in November 1999 and formally commencing operations on January 1, 2000, KÍ represents over 11,000 members across preschools, compulsory schools, music schools, and upper secondary schools. Its primary role is to protect the interests and rights of its members, negotiate collective agreements on wages and working conditions, and promote professional development and educational standards in Iceland.
