Bláskógabyggð is a municipality in the Southern Region of Iceland, formed in 2002 from the merger of three smaller municipalities. It is known for its significant historical and natural attractions, including parts of the Golden Circle such as Þingvellir National Park, the Geysir geothermal area, and Gullfoss waterfall. The municipality has a population of approximately 1,280 residents as of January 2023, with major settlements including Reykholt, Laugarvatn, and Laugarás.
