Sigurður Heiðar Höskuldsson is an Icelandic football manager, currently serving as the head coach for Þór Akureyri, a football club based in Akureyri, Iceland. He was appointed to this role on January 1, 2024. Prior to joining Þór Akureyri, Höskuldsson was an assistant coach for Valur and achieved notable success as the head coach of Leiknir Reykjavík, leading them to promotion to the top division in 2020. He is also an educated sports scientist and is completing the UEFA Pro coaching license, the highest coaching degree in Iceland. Höskuldsson recently commented on Aron Einar Gunnarsson, a prominent Icelandic national team player, stating that he is always welcome back to Þór Akureyri, his former youth club.
