Heimildin is an Icelandic monthly newspaper established in January 2023 through the merger of Stundin and Kjarninn, known for its investigative journalism. It operates with dispersed ownership and is independent of special interests, focusing on strengthening independent investigative journalism in Iceland. In March 2025, Heimildin received three nominations for the 2024 Icelandic Journalist Awards, with four of its journalists being recognized. The newspaper downsized its operations in 2025, transitioning from weekly to monthly publication.
