Borgartún

Staður

Borgartún is a prominent street in Reykjavík, Iceland, recognized as a major business district and a central hub for financial companies and government offices. It runs east to west, connecting Snorrabraut and Laugarnesvegur/Sundlaugavegur. The street has undergone significant development, transforming from an industrial area into a modern urban landscape with large office buildings, including a 19-story skyscraper as part of the Höfðatorg development. Borgartún is also home to the historic Höfði house, where the 1986 Reykjavík Summit between Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev took place.
