Hafnarfjörður is a port town and municipality in Iceland, located approximately 10 km south of Reykjavík. It is the third-most populous city in Iceland, known for its local industry, diverse urban activities, and annual festivals. The town is built on Holocene lava fields and is often referred to as Iceland's "elf capital" due to local folklore about "hidden people" living in its lava formations.
