Linda Gunnarsdóttir is the Chief Pilot at Icelandair, leading a team of approximately 620 pilots. She is notable for being one of the few women in the world to hold such a position and for her efforts in encouraging women to pursue careers in aviation. She recently stated that Icelandair views a low-altitude flight over Vestmannaeyjar by one of its retiring pilots as a serious matter, as it was conducted without the airline's permission or knowledge.
