Heilbrigðisráðuneytið, or the Ministry of Health, is an Icelandic government body responsible for the administration and policymaking of health-related laws, regulations, and directives across the nation. It oversees public health services, disease prevention, healthcare resource allocation, and regulatory functions for medical practices and pharmaceuticals within Iceland's universal single-payer healthcare system. The Ministry was re-established on January 1, 2019, after the Ministry of Welfare was split into the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Social Affairs. [9]
