Alþýðusamband Íslands (ASÍ), also known as the Icelandic Confederation of Labour, is the largest national trade union center in Iceland, established in 1916. It represents approximately half of the Icelandic workforce, with around 108,000 members across various sectors. ASÍ plays a significant role in Icelandic society by advocating for improved working conditions, safeguarding workers' rights, and influencing social and labor market policies through collective bargaining and engagement with government bodies.
