Rúnar Kárason

Rúnar Kárason is an Icelandic handball player who plays for Fram Reykjavík and the Icelandic national team. Born on May 24, 1988, he is a right back and has played professionally in Germany and Denmark. Kárason has also taken on roles as the operations manager for Fram's handball division and head coach for their junior teams. He recently announced his retirement from playing handball on March 31, 2026, after Fram was eliminated from the Icelandic championship playoffs.
